The Berend Lehmann Haus in Natorp Strasse is one of our publicly funded SMARTments properties: it offers particularly favourable rents for students of the surrounding universities. You can buy your groceries right next door at the discount store, or cycle five minutes to the city centre, where all the shopping options are at your disposal. It is less than 15 minutes by bike to the campus of the University of Duisburg-Essen and hardly any further to the university hospital. You can easily reach the main train station on foot and from there the whole Ruhr area is open to you: Duisburg, Mülheim, Gelsenkirchen or Bochum are quickly reached. You can chill comfortably in the spacious outdoor areas, or cycle 10 minutes to the Stadtgarten (city garden) or the Grüne Mitte (green centre). It is not for nothing that the city of Essen is regarded as the "Green Capital of Europe": here you will find an excellent network of cycle paths, which will even take you to the water of the river Ruhr, where you can relax at Lake Baldeney at the Seaside Beach or canoe after an exam stress.

What do I have to do after I have received my rental agreement?

You sign the rental Agreement documents and return them to SMARTments in Erlangen within the set deadline.

What can I inspect in the Property in advance?

Generally, visits are difficult for us to arrange as all apartments are let and we need the consent of the tenant in each case.So we cannot promise to show an apartment. However, you can always obtain a general overview of our property.Please contact the appropriate in-house technician directly for an inspection of the facility.

I am a minor. Can I still book an apartment?

Yes, you too are welcome to live at SMARTments. However, the rental agreement must be concluded by a parent or legal guardian.
